CREATE OR...

GREATER CREATORS: THE FULL PRESENTATION

Happy Monday War & Peaceniks. Ready to create‽

The biggest companies in the world are all heavily invested in the Creator-sphere. Over the next decade, the Creator Media Economy will grow into a trillion dollar business. Simultaneously, traditional Corporate Media will contract.

Which ride do you want to be on?

Here’s the thing: You don’t actually have to choose. The two ecosystems are NOT in opposition. You CAN operate in both. However, if you choose to ignore or avoid the Creator Economy - the one that’s actually growing, the one where every ad agency and most Big Tech companies on earth are investing in - then you ARE capping your opportunity.

Since the start of the year, I’ve been giving a presentation on the stakes, opportunities, and urgency of the Creator Economy. I presented it at CES, with Martha Stewart, and then again last week at MIP London.

When I was asked by an attendee of the MIP speech to post my slides on my Substack (a creator platform btw), I realized that I had never shared the full presentation with the most important members of my community - YOU! Today I’m rectifying that.

Above, you can watch me give the full presentation. Below my signature below, there’s a link to download all the slides, charts, data and silly infographics.

I’ve counseled numerous, big, traditional Media companies, and a number of independent producers, on why and how to lean into the Creator-sphere. In each case, the reasons they offer to NOT do so are based on emotions, not data or facts. The biggest reason OG Media players refuse to “test and learn” about the Creator Economy is an epidemic of FOFO: The Fear of Finding Out.

Don’t suffer from FOFO. Watch the presentation, look at the data, dip your toes, find your own way through this powerful, undeniable, fast-growing segment of the Media industry. Or don’t, and risk getting left behind. Your choice.

Enjoy the week!
