That slide, believe it or not, is the very last piece of a very long assignment I worked on recently with Chat GPT.
I was preparing to write this piece about the end of Traditional Media, reporting on the current state of the Big Media Five: Paramount, Comcast, Fox, WBD, and Disney. I wanted to do so by comparing the traditional segments, the streaming segments, and the segments soon set to be spun.
I had a busy day that Friday and was headed to my 40th high school reunion the next day, so I would not have as many hours to research and build slides as usual prior to sitting down to write.
Recently, by pushing the envelope, honing the specificity of what I assigned ChatGPT, and rigorously proofing all the work product, I’d had some breakthrough success in delegating the more menial parts of these tasks – collecting the data and pouring it into an editable PowerPoint slide, with an Excel backend — to the AI.
