Welcome to the future of film. In the past, for major releases, the P&A (Prints & Advertising) budgets have often rivaled those of making the film itself. For films releasing exclusively in theaters - the latest Bond, the upcoming and incredible-looking Nightmare Alley - this remains true, and perhaps - in the age of #Omicron - is now more true than ever.
 
BUT, for many, if not most major and minor releases in the Portals Era, positioning on the landing page, push notifications to subscribers and kick-ass trailers on social media ARE the new "A," and "P" is just a wistful memory. (Frankly, with digital…
