I hail back to Time Warner/AOL clunker which made no sense although we are in different Tech times. When the bros get hot to trot there seems to be no stopping them. The sad part is that it upsets my own personal KPI, watching legendary companies whose films I’ve loved torn apart like this.
And investor money isn’t just “money.” It also has to do with doing business with investors where there’s an ethical fit between partners who have the same vision in the execution of those deals. Call me naive, at the of the day it’s about the fit and that thing called trust.
What the projections also don't show is what happens to a brand when it becomes "political" and subservient to an orange ship that is obviously sinking. Do you pivot again? Does, say, Ryan Coogler ever want to work with WB again?

Smart? Or lucky? More and more it looks like the latter.
Whoa
While all of this is commercially terrifying my favourite part is disco bros. It really does paint a visercal picture.
