The new bundle will be offered to Verizon’s myPlan wireless customers.”
There’s a major myth about the TV bundle and why it’s dying. Most people seem to believe that Pay TV was a success because it bundled so many channels all at one cost, and that it is now disintegrating because it’s too expensive, antiquated, and full of channels no one wants to pay for. Both are slightly true.
However, counter to conventional wisdom, the “Golden Age of TV,” was not funded by Pay TV, and the Cable Bundle of the 21st Century was actually one part of a much larger business - a business that is now being reinvented by new players in the User Centric Era.
