This ☝️ is my last Media Universe Map of 2024. This is also the most valuable map I’ve ever made. No, it’s not a one of one NFT (remember those?).

The record breaking value comes from the combined valuations of the 126 companies on the map: A new high water mark of $22.6 TRILLION.

A good deal of credit for this record-breaking map goes to general market conditions: The NASDAQ and the NYSE both hit all time highs this month. Another driving force for the richness of this version of the Media Universe are the Trillion Dollar Big Tech Death Stars - Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, META, Microsoft, and NVIDIA - all of which are at or very near record high market capitalizations. Together, those six account for 73.3% of the total value of all companies on the map.

But the Big Six are not the only Media players on record breaking highs. Twelve key companies, representing all the major Media sectors, are now at their all-time high valuations. This bankers’ dozen have a combined market cap of $9.2 TRILLION, 41% of all value on the map.
